Utopia Dance Camp
For the thirteenth consecutive year, Utopia is proud to offer a week of dance instruction, time with good friends, and fun. Participants are divided into groups according to age where the main focus is having a good time. Camp instructors do work on technique and other aspects of performing, but an emphasis is placed on enthusiasm, fun, and positive attitudes. Each girl leaves camp with a greater sense of self-confidence and a taste of what it takes to be part of a team. The week before camp, each participant will receive a letter from her Utopia "big sister" describing what to expect during the week of camp. Performance day for family and friends is the final day of camp, Friday, June 12th. Camp dancers will present what was learned during the week. At this time, final awards are presented and each participant will receive a special gift from her "big sister." Utopia camp is truly the best week of the summer! We look forward to seeing YOU there!
Utopia camp is offered to girls between the ages of 5 and 16. Classes are grouped according to age and are instructed by members of the nationally ranked Utopia dance team. New members of Utopia are selected in different ways, one of these opportunities being during the Utopia Camp week. If you are interested in becoming a member of Utopia, participating in camp is a great place to start!

At the conclusion of CAMP 2008, a video featuring footage from all five days was offered to camp dancers. All proceeds from the video were used for DANCE FOR DAD, our team commitment to giving back to our community. Our project for the summer of 2008 was "Fun with Fleece." At the conclusion of summer practices, until every bit of fleece was used, the girls made pillows that will be taken to Children's Hospital in October of 2008 - a reverse "trick or treating" for patients unable to do so on their own. Thanks to all who participated in our team service project. Click play on the video box below to view the CAMP VIDEO.
